The Small Business Administration's 8(a) Program was created in 1974 to help minority and other disadvantaged businesses to grow through a program of federal contracting preferences and set-asides. Through the program, eligible firms can be awarded federal government contracts on a sole-source or non-competitive basis. Contracts up to $5M for manufacturing and up to $3M for just about everything else are available to you under this program. The Federal Government has special designations for various classifications of business under this program. Procurements by each federal department/agency are assigned procurement quotas for the various designated businesses that are to be distributed by percentages by the larger corporations competing for these procurements. Net2Net Solutions is a minority woman-owned, SBA Certified 8(a) (SBA Case No.: 109965) and Small Disadvantaged Business and will remain in the program until September 24, 2012.
